My husband and I try to give each other thoughtful gifts rather than expensive gifts. For Christmas last year I gave this picture frame to him. It’s got a picture of the front door of every house we’ve lived in together. The last picture is of the architecture plan of our front door of our current house. Once it’s finished I will replace it with a real picture.

My co-worker ordered her Christmas cards from snapfish.com this morning and they were ready at her local walgreens by 2pm!! Ahhh, my christmas cards took hours and that was with the help of indentured servant (my husband).

My husband and I have different decorating styles when it comes to tree decoration. I like themes, he likes anything that doesn’t have to do with a theme. So we compromise by taking turns every year decorating. This year since we have no tree (due to no house) we got plastic trees and each got to decorate our very own. (Notice his “close to theme” non-theme. Maybe it’s because I bought all the ornaments)

My concept for the kookie kompetition is simple, Cookies for Santa. I got these cute matching mugs and saucers from Christmas Tree Shop for only a $1. Don’t you just love a bargain? gag. Anyways, I filled candy bags with hot choc and marshmellows ans stuffed the cup then wraped it all up using basket wrap and finished it off with a bow.

My two best friends from high school and I have a gift giving tradition, every year we give “themed” gifts. We pick a theme and then keep it under $25. Past themes have been sexy underwear or your favorite book. This year our theme is “our favorite beauty products.” This year I’m getting my fav ladies the best shampoo evah! Soy Shampoo from Fresh
Merry Christmas ladies!

There is enough to do during the holidays that is FUN, addressing christmas card envelops is not one of them. I keep a list (via microsoft word) of all my friends and families addresses. Then right before the big send out, I review them to see if anyone moved or had babies and then I print, peel and stick… such a time saver.

I’ve recently moved to a new “hood”, neighborhood that is. All our mailboxes are at the end of the road so I stuffed holiday cards wishing everyone the happiest of the ho ho ho days. I made this card by cutting a piece of white cardstock in half and stamping it with a holiday stamp.

This year I’m using my christmas cards as my holiday card/we’ve moved card. I’m going to work on them this weekend and try to get them out for the 1st. I’m just going to print them on card stock and add some glitter to the snow.
