In my constant quest to do craft on the cheap, I’m not afraid to try and recreate for free for what others overcharge for. I would like to think of myself as the “Robin Hood of Crafts.” For example: Paper-Source’s paper pumpkin placecards. You could pay the $12.50 + shipping for the kit or you can just download the templates that I made and get the job done for less than $6.00.

A shout out to wisconsin roller skating days… dice game. Label areas in the room from 1 - 6. Make or buy a big fuzzy dice. In musical chairs fashion, start a song and stop it to have everyone playing rush to a number. One person rolls the fuzzy dice and whoever is at the number rolled has to go sit down. Keep going in this elimination fashion until you are down to one. Declare the winnah, winnah and award a prize.

I went to a fabo Halloween party this year. The decorations were so much fun like this hand painted tarp that made it look like skeletons where coming out of the floor!

Last year we went with a couples theme as we are this year. Gang Green is fun for the whole family. Even our dog got into it by wearing a green bandana and a gold $ gangstah necklace. (I’ll have to dig up a picture)
Gang Green:
Everyone dresses like gang members with green clothes and green bandanas.
- Hawaiian Punch:
One person should dress like a boxer (boxing shorts, boxing gloves, lines beneath the eyes), while the other person dresses like a Hula-girl (grass skirt, bikini top, and a lei).
- Peace and Quiet:
One person dresses like a hippie (jeans, flowered shirt, peace signs, beads, headband, etc.). The other person dresses up like a mime (striped shirt, black pants, suspenders, white face make-up, etc.).
- Pirate and Treasure Chest:
He dresses as the pirate. She wears a gold shirt, and attaches gold, silver, and pearl beads, and gold and silver chocolate coins to chest area.
- Smart Ass and Dumb Ass:
Each person wears a fake plastic butt. Attach Dum Dum lollipops to one, and Smarties candies to the other.
- Pumpkin Pie:
One person dresses up like a pumpkin. The other wears all black, and on the shirt writes: 3.14925.
- M&M’s:
She is a plain M&M and he is an M&M with nuts.
- Bush and Chain-y:
One person cuts some branches off a bush and attaches them to their clothes. The other person wraps chains around themselves.
- Hefty and Glad:
A great costume for pregnant couples. Both people wear garbage bags. Hers says “I’m Hefty,” and his says “I’m Glad.”
- Burger King and Dairy Queen:
I think this one is self explanatory

It’s been a tradition between our friends from college that every year we meet up in VT for Pumpkinfest in Keene, New Hampshire. This year was no different. If you ever have a chance to go, it’s something to see. For a little background, it was featured in the october issue of Country Living.
My Pumpkin Carving Tool Arsenal
This year we carved pumpkins to celebrate the latest edition to our group of friends “baby markham.”

I just can’t get enough of fun pumpkin lawn decorations. I want to knock on these people’s door and ask if they leave this out all night. That’s a nice quilt and bed linens!
