Every year as a tradition, we go around the table and each persons says what they are thankful for. This year we are going to make a game of it. At each place setting, I put a “I’m thankful for:” card. Everyone fills it out and puts it into a basket. At the end of dinner, we pass the basket around and randomly pick a card. We take turns reading them out loud and guessing who’s it is.

In my constant quest to do craft on the cheap, I’m not afraid to try and recreate for free for what others overcharge for. I would like to think of myself as the “Robin Hood of Crafts.” For example: Paper-Source’s paper pumpkin placecards. You could pay the $12.50 + shipping for the kit or you can just download the templates that I made and get the job done for less than $6.00.

Thanksgiving family traditions in my house are like the uuge.. football, the turkey, the stuffing and the stuffing of your face, etc. This year I’m signing the clan up (inclusive of the pooch) for the Gasping Gobbler 5-K Road Race. Rumor has it that turkey day is THE day for road races. Check out races in your area at sites like active.com.
