When we go to the beach we always write the date and the beach name in the sand and take a picture. That way when it comes time to scrapbook we can introduce the pages within the picture. It’s especially fun when it’s my nephew Eric’s first time on the beach.

Man!!! I’ve hit the baby age… I feel like I’m making a congrats card every week. These paper diapers are making great mileage!

These flowers make a huge difference when decorating for a party. I made these a few years ago for a “Mexican Themed Baby Shower” at work. They are going to get some more mileage this summer at a bridal shower I’m helping throw.
Idea for “She who must not be named“

These are really easy to make. I went to Target and bought a bag of cloth diapers. At my local fabric store, Mariner’s Compass, they sell little mini scraps for $2.99. Just a quick straight sew after turning the sides under and a little embrodiery of the baby’s last name initial and you got a cute burpie rag that is ready for spit up.

My nephew Eric (Edog) and I had some fun crafting with finger paint. Once he went to bed, I cut hearts out of his masterpieces and put together valentines for his parents to send out. A few weeks later I got my valentine in the mail personalized with his picture. Once he’s able, I plan on naming him the Chief Executive of the Finger Painting painting division of SYD.

Let me just say, be prepared to get some looks when you stroll into a craft store asking for “Raw chicken colored yarn.” This pattern is from CraftBits. I started this in the summer and never finished it. Now that I’m almost done, I was thinking I should have done it in “turkey brown” for thanksgiving! The drumsticks are impossible to make as originally spec’d… I fudged it.

My friend Jen made these onesies for a baby shower last week. Intergrating classic rap lyrics and babywear… pure genius. You rock Jen!

Nothing like taking a private joke and turning it into baby wear. We used to joke with our “soon to be daddy” friend Jared in college that he was a “smart kid” well, because he really was. Anyways… it’s funny to his college friends.
Using photoshop, I cropped his pict and added the phrase around his head. A quick print on T-shirt photo paper and a swipe with an iron on a onesie and we are in business. I love slapping pictures of parents on their kids.

My friend Jared from college is expecting his first. Since we are all proud graduates of Clark University in ghetto fabo Worcester Mass we have to put our kids in ClarkU pride gear. I digitally scanned my freshman ID card and using photoshop I changed the name and the face (the horror my freshman year mug shot). I Printed it on some T-shirt transfer paper and slaped it on a onesie. I wonder if this is good for any college discounts at the bookstore.
