knitted Mitten and Hat set for baby

My friend Kim is pregnant with her second so I’ve started preparing for baby cantaloupe (I call her this because she’s making momma crave cantaloupe). This is my first attempt at knitting mittens. Babies don’t really use their thumbs so I think it’s perfectly acceptable to forgo the thumb holes, it’s also much faster. Here’s the mitten pattern I used.
