making a guest feel at home

My parents have a cabin in Northern Wisconsin where we spend every labor day. My family is big on naming things (the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree) which includes houses and rooms. We named the cabin “Loons on the Lake” which is very appropriate if you have ever met us. We’ve also named each of the guest rooms in relation to the Northwoods. For example: the bedroom in the basement is called “The Bear’s Den” and the loft that over looks the lake is called “The Eagles’ Nest.” You get the point.
My latest project is outfitting each of the rooms with embroidered goodies like robes and towels. These soft terry cloth robes I picked up at Filenes’s Basement for wicked cheap. They will be absolutely perfect for wearing to and fro the hot tub room.
